Contributing to developing work methods in the oil and gas sectors in state institutions and working to increase students’ ability to prepare surveys to explore and develop oil and gas wells while applying economic theories to address administrative problems.

Filling the labor market need with specialized cadres to work in governmental and private oil and gas companies and facilities.

Using modern methods in teaching that go beyond traditional methods to the greatest possible extent.

Conducting distinguished research, especially that serves the rapid and changing economic needs of the region, At various levels and for all sectors, Expanding the scientific achievements of faculty members and raising the department’s scientific reputation to the local and international level.
