Al-Qalam University College holds a celebration on the occasion of the college’s cultural day | Al Qalam University College

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Latif Saeed Barzanji, Dean of Al-Qalam University College, The Deanship of Al-Qalam University College held a celebration on the occasion of the college’s cultural day. And that is at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday corresponding to (10/5/2023) and in the hall of the new building in the college.

The ceremony was attended by the Dean of Al-Qalam University College, Prof. Dr. Latif Saeed Barzanji. And the scientific assistant, Prof. Dr. Aiden Siddig Ahmed, and the administrator, Prof. Dr. Karim Najm Khader. And the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, Prof. Dr. Omar Injeh. And the businessman, Mr. Yaqoub Najm Al-Din Saeed. And a number of gentlemen heads of departments and a large group of faculty and students of the college.

The celebration began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, recited by Prof. Dr. Niazi Burhanuddin, Head of the Pharmacy Department. After that, reading Surat Al-Fatihah, to have mercy on the souls of the righteous martyrs of Iraq, then listening to the national anthem. After that, the Dean of Al-Qalam University College, Prof. Dr. Latif Saeed Barzanji, delivered a speech welcoming the honorable guests and attendees.

Barzanji said during the speech, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome you from this great scientific edifice. The leading college in knowledge partnership in higher education and scientific research.”

Al-Barzanji added, “We are carrying out our responsibility in this benevolent college, putting our eyes in the first place and focusing on the quality of education, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and preparing graduates by developing their skills and abilities to learn and arming them with knowledge, so that they become the leaders of the country in the future.” Our college also aspires to spread and enhance knowledge and expand the base of scientific and literary studies to keep pace with the leading universities and colleges in developed countries in the fields of science and arts.

Barzanji confirmed that “the college continued striving to develop students’ capabilities and skills in light of the departments’ tendency to intertwine the theoretical side with the practical side.”

He explained that “the college witnessed an unprecedented great interest in the research aspect during the current academic year, especially by holding many specialized scientific conferences and seminars by attracting researchers, whether from different countries or from most of our local universities.”

And he indicated that “the Deanship of Al-Qalam University College has been dedicating a day to celebrate the distinguished performance of its scientific, engineering, and humanitarian departments, in addition to its members of the teaching and academic staff.”

In conclusion, Barzanji blessed the college’s staff, faculty and students as they celebrate annually the college’s cultural day. Which is a scientific wedding in which they express their loyalty to their college and their belonging to their homeland. Wishing more brilliance and success in the service of the educational process in our dear country.

After that, Prof. Dr. Omar Injeh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Kirkuk, gave a lecture on (educational institutions and their impact on society).

Then Prof. Dr. Latif Saeed Barzanji, Dean of Al-Qalam University College, honored the honorable guests, heads of departments, distinguished professors, administrators, and top students in all departments with a college shield and a certificate of thanks and appreciation.

On the sidelines of the celebration, Prof. Dr. Latif Saeed Barzanji, Dean of Al-Qalam University College, inaugurated an exhibition of photos and charitable works.
