Department of Architecture
Vision
Preparing architects who have the ability and have the means to achieve the goals and objectives of the department in creating an architectural environment that is visually and environmentally distinct and respects the values, legacies, and local Iraqi and Arab identity, and to make education a continuous process that is not limited to university studies only.
the message
The department should provide an environment that motivates the student to know and learn about all aspects that affect the profession that he will practice after his graduation, and inform him of all theoretical and applied developments and the means used to invest in these developments and provide what achieves standards of quality excellence similar to international universities.
Aims

Giving importance to the technical and practical aspects of architectural culture, as needed by the engineer in the field and in application.

Linking theoretical aspects with design aspects and making it a field of application and creativity.

Providing scientific materials of a broad nature that allows the student to enter precise specializations or scientific research, whether at the level of professional practices or at the level of specialized studies, and introducing new vocabulary that is developed with local and global developments.

Providing sufficient hours for the student in the ceremony during which he can rely on himself in making decisions and trying to make the hours of the basic subject close to the reality of the architect’s work situation in his professional practice.

Linking architecture to the nature of the country culturally, historically, geographically, and socially, and adapting the student’s ability to appreciate the influences in architecture, its methods, terminology, expressions, and techniques, and adapting his intellectual abilities to find the solutions that the country and society need.

Motivating the student to invest in the opportunities provided by the university that enable him to learn about a diverse scientific culture, learn about engineering and scientific specializations in other departments, and expand his mental and physical awareness.
