College council duties as stated in Law No. 25 of 2016

Setting the conditions for admission and recommending the proposed preparation for admission at the beginning of the school year, approving the proposed curricula, proposing the amount of tuition fees and a plan for providing supplies

Managing, investing and disposing of college funds in accordance with the college’s goals and instructions in force

Approval of naming department heads and their members

Granting graduates the academic certificate they deserve, each according to his specialization

Recommending the opening of additional departments to the college and directing the conversion of the college into a university

Approval of contracting with faculty members, determining their wages and remuneration, accepting their resignation and releasing them from work

Approval of entering into agreements with universities, colleges and scientific institutions according to the college’s needs

Suspension of the study in whole or in part for a period not exceeding seven weeks when necessary, provided that the Ministry is informed of this and the compelling reasons are stated

The college council transfers some of its powers to the dean of the college
