Department of Forensic Techniques

 

About the Forensic Evidence Department

It is one of the departments of medical technologies covered by central appointment, risk allocations, and postgraduate studies, according to what was stipulated in Law No. 6 of 2000, which includes the inclusion of graduates of medical technical colleges in central appointment. Forensic evidence is referred to as “crime scene investigation” and is universally symbolized by CSI, which is an acronym (crime scene investigation). As well as the existence of specialized international universities to teach forensic evidence only.

Department goals:

  • The student learns about the types of cells in the human body

  • The student learns the anatomical tissue of the organs of the human body

  • The student develops sufficient experience to deal with electronic outputs and how to adopt them as evidence of crime.

  • The student acquires knowledge of how to use devices and equipment related to detecting forensic evidence

  • The student learns the basic knowledge and skills of chemistry, such as preparing solutions, concentrations, chromatography and volumetric analysis of materials.

  • The student acquires skills to know the crime scene, especially the effects of accidents, and how to criminally record accidents.

  • Familiarize yourself with the first principles of first aid and the rules for its application and the use of a pressure device and thermometer.

  • The student learns how to take the fingerprint from the accused or from the crime scene, and the traces of fingers and paws, and how to preserve them and conduct laboratory practices

  • The student will be able to use the camera and equipment for forensic photography.

  • The student learns the methods of examining counterfeit currency for the truth, examining documents and official papers, and how to use the forgery checking kit.

  • The student learns about the methods used to investigate poisons and drugs, the devices used for this, and how to write reports for the examination of toxins and drugs.

  • The student should be able to be familiar with the information related to explosives, their types, and the types of tools used to extinguish fires.

Department message:

It is to maintain evidence at the crime scene, take samples from its location, document evidence, learn how to deal with equipment and modern technologies in the field of jurisdiction, prevent and determine the occurrence of crime, and support courts and prosecutors with facts based on forensic evidence.

 

Vision:

It is to provide and prepare individuals with high scientific competence in the areas of crime investigation and criminal investigations, collect fingerprints, collect evidence, deal with it and analyze it, which leads to the diagnosis of the perpetrators on an unambiguous scientific basis.
