Vision
The Department of Physical Education at Al-Qalam College aspires to be among the internationally accredited scientific colleges by raising its scientific and administrative level, and to turn into a pioneering college in the field of scientific research to serve the Iraqi, Arab and international community.

Preparing qualified and specialized scientific staff in the field of physical education and sports sciences to contribute to the advancement of school sports and community health, as well as preparing researchers in the field of sports sciences to advance the Iraqi sports movement at various levels.
Aims

Preparing teachers for the physical education lesson for the secondary school stages who are familiar with the physical, educational and social aspects.

Work to develop the sports movement for all sectors of the state, in cooperation with the concerned authorities (the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Olympic Committee).

Contribute to the dissemination of sports culture and work to make sports one of the important means of bringing people together.

Contribute to community service through education for practicing sports and its positive effects on public health (spreading health awareness of sports practice) for the individual and developing physical education curricula to serve the progress and advancement of society.

Preparing qualified academic staff to work in the fields of scientific research and sports training to develop the reality of Iraqi sports.

Contribute to the leadership of the sports movement through qualitative scientific staff.
