Goran Qadir Othman was born in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in 1978. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the College of Science - Salahaddin University - Erbil in 2000. . He holds a master's degree in genetics from the same institution in 2002. He completed his Ph.D. in cell biology at the University of Baghdad in 2009. Besides his qualifications in Biology, He obtained a B.Sc. In the English Language Department (evening) - Salahaddin University in 2009. He joined Al-Qalam University College in 2016.
