Professor in Civil / Structural Engineering. He obtained a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1984 from the University of Baghdad. And a master's degree in structural engineering in 1989 from the University of Baghdad, And a PhD in Structural Engineering from Al-Mustansiriya University / Baghdad in 1996. He began academic service in Iraqi universities since 1992 and obtained a professorship in structural engineering in 2007.
Professor Bayan supervised dozens of master's and doctoral students in various Iraqi universities.
He is the co-author of “The Chemistry of Corrosion” by Wiley Ed. November 2011, He is the author of several published research papers.
The main areas of research are the long-term behavior of concrete structures, and durability of structures, and behavior of synthetic and natural fiber reinforced concrete members, and powder reactive concrete, and methods of reinforcement, Concrete members are ultra-strong and sustainable in design and construction.
