Under the sponsorship of the Dean of Al-Qalam University College, Professor Dr. Latif Saeed Barzanji, Under the supervision of the Head of the Medical Devices Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Wasan Adnan Hashem, The Women’s Empowerment Unit at Al-Qalam University College organized Today, Wednesday (3/6/2024), in the conference hall, A scientific symposium entitled (Investing in Women to Accelerate the Pace of Progress) within the activities of (International Women’s Day) in the presence of a number of female students, employees and faculty members of the college.
The symposium topics covered, The role of empowering Iraqi women economically within the climate of development, the challenges of the labor market for women in the public and private sectors, their role in scientific research and modern technologies, the most important difficulties they face in demonstrating their creative potential in this regard, and what is the impact of scientific progress on the future of women.
The symposium recommended the necessity of holding training courses for students and teachers to clarify the extent of women’s influence, as well as their direct impact on society and all its groups and types, from an educational awareness side.
In conclusion, all inquiries and questions on the minds of the male and female participants in the symposium were answered.
March 8th of each year falls on “International Women’s Day”. On this day, events and events are organized around the world in honor of women’s achievements. And raising political and social awareness of its issues.
